Carlee Russell, a 25-year-old nursing student, vanished on Thursday after she reported seeing a toddler stumbling by the side of the road to 911 and her brother’s girlfriend.
On July 13, at 9:34 p.m., Carlee contacted 911 and reported seeing a young child in the surrounding woods alone, dressed in a white shirt and diaper and probably a male.
The 911 operator instructed her to remain where she had stopped with her hazard lights on until assistance could arrive.
She terminated her conversation with the operator after that and made a call to a relative to inform them of the toddler as well.
At the time of her disappearance, Carlee was a student at Jefferson State Community College.
