Juan Carlos Barreto is a Mexican actor, born on March 11, 1957, in Monterrey, Nuevo León. Interested in acting and theater, Barreto began working in productions at the Universidad Michoacana and the Michoacán State Theater Company, standing out in works such as La Romanza, Este es el Juego and La dama de las camelias . His time in said company placed him in the sights of great theater directors and from the beginning of the 80s, Juan Carlos worked with Martha Luna ( The Concert of Saint Ovidio ), Rafael Banquells ( La corte del pharaoh ), Manolo Fábregas ( A Girl, a Woman and I ) and José Solé ( A Midsummer Night’s Dream ), in genres as diverse as comedy, farce or drama. Barreto has also been a well-known and successful presence in film and television, in series and novels such as Para Volver a Amor (2010), XY. The magazine (2009-2012), The hotel of secrets (2015), The usurpadora (2019) and films such as Quemar las naves (2007), El Traspatio (2009) and Twenty-year-old, divorced and fantastic (2020).
