Joe Thomas Barrett IV otherwise popularly known as JT Barrett is a professional American football quarterback. JT Barrett was born on January 23, 1995 to Joe Barrett and Stacy Barrett in Wichita Falls, Texas. He has brothers; Stephen and Xavier who are doing well in their respective careers.
Joe was educated at SH Rider High School in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he competed in football, basketball, and track racing. In football, he played the role of a dual-threat quarterback which he mastered and delivered what was expected of him whenever he was on the field by his high school team. With the Raiders, JT Barrett recorded a total of 2,069 rushing yards, a total of 2,348 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns. His junior season had much better stats than his senior season, which was due to Joe sustaining a torn ACL injury, which prematurely ended his senior season.
He however never recovered in time to play for his high school team anymore. He would later be admitted to Ohio State University, and after his recovery, he would team up with the college football team – Ohio State Buckeyes – in April 2012.
Teaming up with his teammates at Ohio State’s Buckeyes football team, he received another injury. This time, he broke his ankle during a meeting between the University of Michigan and the Buckeyes. Following the injury, JT Barrett was out for the rest of the 2014 season and after successful surgery he was redshirted in the 2015 season. After his recovery he was back in the network for the 2016 seasons and 2017 and had 3,851 rushing yards, 9,434 passing yards, 104 passing touchdowns and 43 rushing touchdowns.

As the 2018 NFL Draft approached, JT Barrett left the draft as an untraded free agent, he later had the opportunity to attend Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints minicamps. He opted to attend the next meeting, in which they signed him to a three-year contract worth $1,710,000.

JT Barrett had a girlfriend, AlexandriaBarrett-Clark, with whom he got into an argument in 2014. According to reports in December, his then-pregnant girlfriend called 911 to complain about domestic violence. that Barrett inflicted on him. However, prior to his call, JT had also called 911 to report that he had asked his girlfriend to leave his house, but she would not.
Neither of them made any complaints against each other, especially Alexandria who claimed the footballer threw her across the room and even suffocated her. The relationship between them has deteriorated and it is assumed that they are no longer together. Moreso, there are no words from the child Alexandra was with while they argued.
