Born Sean Patrick Lee on July 22, 1986 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to a family of attorneys. Sean’s parents are Craig Lee (an attorney) and Geralyn Lee. His grandfather, Donald J. Lee, was a federal judge in the US District Court of Pennsylvania. He has an older brother Conor and a sister Alexandra. His brother was a football player at the University of Pittsburg while he was an athlete at Upper St. Clair High School. He finished his senior year in high school with an amazing record of 1,240 rushing yards, 95 pass receptions, 21 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Sean attended Upper Clair High School in Pittsburgh, where he showed his multisport skills in basketball and soccer. After graduating from high school, he attended Penn State College and continued to play football as an outside linebacker for the Niffy Lions under coach Joe Paterno. Lee was voted captain by his teammates for two consecutive seasons in 2008-2009 despite suffering an injury and seeing very little action in one of the seasons. He graduated from college after earning a degree in finance.
His professional career began in 2010 when he was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft as the 55th overall pick alongside Ronaldo McClain.
